Which substances and mixtures come under the ChemVerbotsV and where can I find the necessary information?

 

OWhether or not a particular substance or mixture comes under the ChemVerbotsV in accordance with Annex 2 Column 1 depends on its classification and labelling in accordance with VO 1272/2008 (CLP regulation).

 

The complete classification and labelling of a product is to be found in section 2 of the safety data sheet. In addition the labelling is to be found on the product label. Since it is possible that mistakes come about in the labelling of products, both sources of information should be used to determine whether a product comes under the ChemVerbotsV or not.

 

The labelling in the safety data sheet and on the label are illustrated in both cases below with the aid of an example.
